Rebecca Anderson has been a member of SVRSFD since 2013! Rebecca is being recognized as our February Lifetime/Associate Member of the Month! Rebecca is an Associate member as well as an EMT and has done QA for several years. She is also a part of several committees. Rebecca is a large part of so many of our public events, fundraising, and raffle ticket sales! She is always lending a helping hand to anyone who needs it and can always make someone smile! She is known for cooking some amazing meals for our members during meetings and drills to keep us all running at our best. Rebecca cares so much about her community and does whatever she can to help those in need!

We asked Rebecca to tell us some of her favorite parts about being a member of SVRSFD and being a volunteer, and this is what she said!

“I enjoy being able to help the community in their time of need. Being a part of community events and educational situations to help others learn how to help themselves before we get there. I have been a volunteer in Calvert County for 20 years. I have 3 children well 7 if you count the husband and dogs. Ha-ha, There have been countless hours of fundraising and public relations events that I have been a part of. Events like Breakfast w/ the Eater Bunny and Santa. Halloween in the Garden and at the campgrounds. Our annual Open House events. What I love most about being a member of SVRSFD is being able to help the community in their time of need. Being a part of community events and educational situations to help others learn how to help themselves in emergency situations before we get there.”

We are so lucky to have Rebecca as a part of our SVRSFD family and are thankful for her every day!
