Solomons Volunteers attended the Southern Maryland Volunteer Fireman's Association Convention parade with Engine 34, Engine 33, Truck 3, and Utility 3 pulling UTV 3. Departments from all over the Southern Maryland area spent numerus hours preparing their apparatus to be judged for awards as well as participating in competitions to display their skills and abilities as Firefighters and EMS Providers. This year Solomons brought home trophies for Best Appearing Pumper Tanker for Engine 33, Second Best Appearing Aerial for Truck 3, Second Best Appearing Fire Ambassador Queen for Rose, and Best Appearing Little Fire Ambassador Queen for Scarlet. Three other trophies were awarded to children of members that braved the rainy weather during the event. Congratulations to all the departments and individuals that were awarded.
