Thomas Yowell, or Yogi as we all call him here, has been a member for 15 years. Yogi is being recognized as our Lifetime/Associate Member of the month for January! Yogi has been a pivotal part of our department for as long as most of our current members can remember! Yogi is known for his humor and whit that keeps us all on our toes! You will always catch him with in the drivers seat of a fire truck going out the door to serve the community at a moments notice. Yogi has served in multiple roles in our department such as safety officer, EMS chief, as well as many others. Yogi has a long history of service even before being a volunteer including the military as well as his past career as a paid paramedic which he has since retired from. His knowledge is extensive in all areas whether it be fire or Ems. He regularly attends trainings all over the country to bring back knowledge to share with all of our members. Yogi is truly a vital part of our SVRSFD family and we are so lucky and privileged to have someone with his wisdom and experience helping mold out next generation of members in our department.
