By Captain Richard Lacey
July 19, 2024

Today at 1322 hours Co. 3 was dispatched to Area Box 3-10 in the 1000 Block of San Angelo Dr for the report of a possible oven fire. Engine 31, Engine Tanker 3, and Truck 3 responded as well as Captain 3A and Chief 3A. Captain 3A arrived on scene to find a 2 story single Family with nothing evident. Upon further investigation smoke conditions were found inside the structure coming from the oven itself. Engine 31 arrived and laid a 4” supply line to the scene and deployed the 400’ attack line from the road to the structure. Engine Tanker 3 arrived and picked up engine 31’s line and the crew assisted engine 31 and Captain 3A with removing the oven from the structure. Truck 3 arrived and ventilated the structure. Engine 71 arrived as third due engine and assisted with ventilation. The oven was extinguished and the structure was checked for possible extension. With no extension found the structure was ventilated and all units cleaned up and cleared at approximately 1420 hours.

Units: Engine 31, Engine Tanker 3, Truck 3, Chief 3A, Captain 3A
