I have been coming down to Solomons Calvert Marina for the last few weeks. As a volunteer, career, wildland and former military ( USAF) firefighter I love doing what we all do in this profession, stopping in and seeing how others are rolling. Yesterday I just happened to stumble onto your Easter bunny event. Everything was out side and looking great. Currently for the last seven years I've been a staff member at the Fire Museum of MD in Towson. I am very critial on presentation and company pride. You guys present TOP NOTCH! Love your own signature look on that fleet of Commander Chassis with the red topped cabs. Brush 3 is a beast. Looking forward to meeting some of you in the next few weeks as well as swapping some patches. Just a great looking company and your apparatus dedication page with the bios are just right on. Stay safe my friends.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank each of you for your prompt answering of each of my calls. It seems that I need you more and more. And each time you are there without a long waiting period. I hope my donation will in some way help your running for me as well as for others. Each month I hope to send you a donation of the same if not more. But again I thank each and every one of you. K AS YE DAVIS
Hello dear people from the Solomos Fire Department,
my name is Klaus Lassen and I am writing to you from Germany. I'm a fan of the American fire department, especially when it comes to your great vehicles. I've been building a model of your Engine 34 Pumper since May 2020. I was so excited about E34 that it will be ready by the end of March 2022. If you are interested in building the model, please sent me a message.
Greetings from Germany

The family of Bob Stevens just made a donation in memory of Alan Redfield, who passed away a couple of weeks ago. The family recommended donations to SVRSFD in lieu of flowers. While we like flowers, we believe this will have a more lasting effect. Good luck in all you do.
Thank you so much for your service and all you do for our community!

I would like to send a big thank you to your volunteer Charlie Franklin who saved the life of Alan Summers. Alan had a seizure in Walmart and was not breathing and had no pulse. When Charlie heard someone yell Man down call 911 he hurried over and immediately started CPR which saved Alan's life. I do not have enough words to express how grateful and thankful I am that Charlie was there. Even after all the thank you's and congratulations he received on Facebook, Charlie remains humble. He is certainly a hero in the eyes of many people and always will be. Solomons is very lucky to have someone like Charlie on their team!! Thank you as well to all other EMT's, officers, and medics who came to the scene and assisted as well. Your service is outstanding!!!!

Having attended the latest banquet dinner, something Chief Ford spoke of touched my heart deeply, when he talked of the many comments and items of note with the firehouse made by some in the community, please know as the the father of a EMT & Firefighter, who has been there while my son runs out in the middle of the night to help and serve our community, one word resonated in my mind and heart while Chief Ford spoke, that all of you are HEROES, and that is not dependent on your attire, size or physical description, it is dependent on what you all do everyday, and I am proud of my son and the brothers and sisters he is associated with. Continue to do great things and know that there are more in the community who are proud of all you all than there are folks who can only express their views across a keyboard.

Santa just came through our neighborhood on a fire truck! Very cool and exciting. We had guests over and the entire household ran out to the top of the driveway to wave.
Message for Chief Jim. Nice meeting you in Delmar last Sunday and hope you had good ride back as Frank & I did. We're sorry we won't be able to attend your event this year as we already have ride plans but keep us in the loop as we mentioned Frank & I travel all over to try crabcakes.. Hope to see you in Chincoteague next year. The event is always the 2nd Saturday in September and if you plan on staying over as we did remember the Light House Inn very Motorcycle friendly people. George

Thank you all for taking the time out to escort Santa through our neighborhood, I was truly amazed and so were my young boys! We are fairly new to the CRE and that was such a nice thing you guys did!! Know that it was very much appreciated!!
Thank You to Lt. Anne Hayes and Capt. John Dalrymple for their short notice response on Saturday morning for the Calvert County Young Marines. When our primary First Aid instructor fell ill and had to go to the hospital himself, we made a call to the station hoping for any help we could get. We could not have been happier with these individuals and their ability to reach out to our kids.
Both individuals were able to communicate the need for first aid skills to our Young Marines in a way that kept the kids engaged and interested. Great job by both of you!

I just wanted to share my thoughts on the memorial celebration for Bob Reeves. I have never been to a lovelier memorial and you can all hold your heads up, my husband and I were very impressed. I know Bob was watching from up above and perhaps would of been a bit surprised by the outpouring of love and respect in that room. Kudos's to all hands! Joyce Williams
