At approximately 0725 hrs on Easter morning Solomons and surrounding companies were alerted to Twin Cove Lane for the reported smoke within a residence. The bunkroom crew responded to the call with Engine 31 and Truck 3. Upon arrival Engine 31 dropped a supply line at the end of the Twin Cove Lane and arrived on scene to find to a two story single family dwelling with nothing evident. The homeowner met the crew at the front door and directed them to the area of concern. Engine 31's crew found moderate smoke conditions within the basement and upon further investigation found a small fire within the floor joist and insulation underneath a pellet stove on the 1st floor. Crew quickly pulled the insulation and extinguished the small fire. Crews assisted with the removal of the pellet stove and securing the scene of the hazard. All crews cleared the scene under an hour.
