Several members of Solomons attended the United States Fire Administrations, National Fire Academy and Emergency Management Institute in Emmitsburg Md this weekend. This weekend is better known as Maryland weekend and is put on for all emergency responders of all levels by a joint effort between Maryland Fire Rescue Institute and the National Fire Academy. Members took part in numerous topics such as Community prevention and awareness, Initial fire ground tactics and other topics. The members of our department are always striving to better themselves through education and training to better serve the citizens of Calvert County
