In recognition of the Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department’s volunteers and their commitment and dedication to the safety of all of southern Calvert County’s citizens, Asbury Solomons presented thank you cards and signed by residents of the retirement community. Chief Joseph Ford and rescue squad lifetime member past rescue Chief Karen Pardoe were presented with a $500 check on behalf of the Asbury Solomons 20th Anniversary Committee Tuesday, Sept. 6. In addition, an Asbury Communities’ resident competition award designated $300 be donated to the SVRSFD.
