Tonight at 2007 hrs Solomons Volunteers were alerted to a chimney fire in the area of Eagle Point Road in the Ranch Club. Promptly Engine 31, Truck 3 and Chief 3 responded to the location. Upon arrival crews found a malfunctioning wooden stove. Volunteers helped the home owner secure the stove and returned to service shortly after.

Volunteers would like to remind all home owners that with the on coming low temperatures please look over your chimneys and stove to make sure the are in good working order and cleaned. Preparation is the key in order to avoid diasterous results.
