Members Standby at Journey Concert

Members tonight headed down to the Calvert Marine Museum to provide stand by coverage for the Journey Concert. Proudly displaying Ambulance 38 for the first time to the community, many were impressed at how beautiful the unit turned out. Tiki Bar Host Luau for SVRSFD

The Tiki Bar this past Saturday hosted a Luau where all donations where given to the firehouse to be used towards the equipment that we utilize for operations. Drivers Training

Today members got up bright and early headed to Mill Creek Middle School to participate in a drivers rodeo. Here members have the opportunity to build up there skills and confidence in driving the equipment at Solomons. Ambulance 38 Place in Service

This evening in a firehouse tradition, the volunteers at the Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department placed in service the new Ambulance 38 by pushing it into the firehouse. The ambulance is a 2014 Freightliner PL Custom Ambulance. Engine and Truck Run Active Gas Leak

At approximately 0939 hrs volunteers at Solomons and surrounding departments were alerted to an active gas leak on Solomons Island. Volunteers quickly responded to the location staffing Engine 34, Truck 3 and Ambulance 39. Upon arriving on location it was found that utility crews who were working in the area struck a gas line with their bucket. Crews quickly manned a attack line in order to protect ...
