Boat Rescue JANUARY 17 - At approximately 1645 hrs Boat 3 and Zodiac 3 were dispatched to a mutual aide call in Saint Marys County off of Hollywood Shores for a reported capsized canoe. Boat 3 with the assistance of Zodiac 1 (Leonardtown) located one person just south of Broomes Island. Commerical Hazmat Box JANUARY 09 - Solomons units alerted to a commercial hazmat box at the Jerry & Sons restaurant on Village Center Dr in Lusby, for a reported odor of gas in the business. Solomons responded with Engine 33, Truck 3, Rescue 3, Amb 37, Chief 3, Chief 3C and 20 personnel. Upon arrival crews began investigating a faint odor in the structure. Ranch Club House Fire JANUARY 02 - At approximately 1925 hours Calvert Control sounded Area Box 310 for the working house fire. The Crew from Solomons responded with 2 engine companies, a ladder crew and a EMS unit with 26 personnel. Ambulance 39 Recieves New Home at MIR JANUARY 02 - Today was a nostalgic day as old Ambulance 39 pulled out of the main station for the last time enroute to its new home in Buds Creek, MD. Maryland International Raceway (MIR) in Budds Creek decided to buy our ambulance last year to use as a resource to provide EMS care at the raceway. Santa Runs DECEMBER 18 - On Friday December 9th, December 16 and December 17 Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus boarded Truck 3 and Engine 34 along with a few elfs to spread joy and happiness to the Boys and Girls in the Solomons 1st due area.
