Rescue 3 Equipment Mounting

The last couple of weeks the Solomons Volunteers have been working diligently at mounting all of our rescue equipment in our new Rescue Engine. This truck will be utilized on accidents that happen in our first due area. Ambulance 38 Lighthouse

Today Ambulance 38 got its long awaited Drum Point Lighthouse decal affixed onto the back of the unit. A portion of the funds that were donated by members of the community out of respect for Mr. Alton Kersey helped us to purchase this unique addition to our ambulance. Brush Fire Near the Power Lines

On November 14 at 1346 hours Tanker 3, Brush 3, BX3 and Brush 7 responded to a brush fire behind 12020 HG Trueman Rd. The fire was quickly brought under control and extinguished in about 10 minutes. While returning to the station Tanker 3 was alerted to another small brush fire across from Dowell Elementry School. Tanker 3 quickly extinguished the fire and returned to service. Engine 33/Tanker 3 Enters Service

At approximately 1800 hrs before the business meeting the Solomons Volunteers performed the traditional pushing the truck in to the building for Engine 33/Tanker 3 placing the unit officially in service. Engine 33/Tanker 3 is a 2013 Rosenbauer Commander Chasis Pumper Tanker. It has a Cummins 500 HP engine with a 1500 GPM Hale pump and 2,000 gallons of water on board. This unit will serve a dual ...
