This past Sunday the Solomons Volunteers shined their shoes and polished their trucks attending the Annual Southern Maryland Parade and games at Ridge Fire Department. At 1000 hrs crews headed to Cove Point Park to assist with the 50th anniversary activities for the Calvert American Little League. Shortly after setting up the American Flag for the parade. At 1048 hrs Calvert 911 alerted the Solomons volunteers to a large column of smoke coming from the backside of the Appeal Land Fill.
