On Friday August 2nd, 2019 the Department along with St. Mary's Bay District Tower 9 left the station for a service call to Solomons Island. The service call this day was to provide a flag arch on Solomons Island Rd just past the entrance to the island. Cardiac Arrest Survivor Family Visits July Monthly Business Meeting

On the morning of June 30th SVRSFD was dispatched for a cardiac arrest in our first due. Engine 34 and Ambulance 37 responded with 7 personal along with CALS Medic 105 to the address on Rousby Hall Road. Units found citizen who had a witnessed cardiac arrest. A concerned citizen stopped by the Solomons Volunteer Rescue Squad and Fire Department at 2000hrs and told crews that she saw a kitten located in the a storm drain when the looked up from under the Thomas Johnson bridge. Crews took Truck 3 for the initial survey of the bridge and located the kitten. Crews positioned Truck 3 and extended the ladder 100ft in order to reach the storm drain the kitten ...
